“There are some things I can get better at. That's what preseason is for. You're going to get beat once in a while. But the good players learn from their mistakes.”
“Probably Marvin Harrison. I played against him twice a year when (the Colts) were in our division, and the guy doesn't say a word. He just goes out there and gets the job done each and every year. He's not looking for the attention some of the other receivers are looking for. That's how you garner respect around the league: by being a humble person and not trying to humiliate guys. There's competition out there, and guys are working their tails off. So when you score a touchdown give the ball back to the ref. On top of that he's a great player.”
“It was tough. You've got to put things in perspective. When it comes to things like that, football's secondary. To see all those people and what they were going through, I couldn't even imagine being in those peoples' shoes. It was real tough, seeing the city you grow up in, your whole life, not knowing if you'll ever be able to go back there. I'm just hoping the best for everybody.”
“It's a big challenge. Those guys are one of the most explosive offenses in the league. To have so many weapons, you just can't lay your head on one guy. They have a terrific running game. They have terrific receivers. But if we come out and play with the same intensity we had against the Jets, then we should be fine.”
“It's just the second game. We don't feel like we're at our peak yet. But to hold a great offense to 17 points is something you can be proud of. But in no way, shape or form are we satisfied with how we played. We know we can play better.”
