“We've been looking for quite a while. The proximity to Holiday Valley, in this case being right across the street, made it a very attractive project.”
“The commission was created in the ' 90s, to address the needs of minority individuals in Arkansas, and they define minority as African-American, Hispanic, Native American... etc. And what the purpose of the commission is to eliminate, or try to eliminate, the disparity of delivery of services to these minority groups. Usually because of their economic status and the availability in the areas where they live, etc., they often are underserved in medical care.... They (commissioners) have health fairs. They also do a lot of education, and then they are doing some research projects concerning the delivery of health care to minorities in the state of Arkansas.”
“Is there interest? Absolutely. Just from informal conversations we've had with people, there's a lot of interest in our project and Ellicottville in general.”
“There is nothing more fundamental to achieving success than providing superior customer service. We made efforts to improve service in a variety of ways this year, including increasing expenditures on line maintenance to shorten outages for customers when severe storms strike, increasing funding for our power partners program to help low-income customers, and expanded deployment of new automated meter reading equipment to reduce estimated readings. We look forward to further improvements in the coming year.”
