“Religion's a good thing, but I don't know if it's the answer to the problems in Burlington. I'm a Christian, born and raised in the church. I guess I don't see how it would hurt. ... You're not going to have any religious leaders agree with each other, anyway. You're still going to have 15 different opinions on what should be done. As far as the bookstore is concerned, I don't have to go in there and neither do you. I guess that's the way I look at it.”
“Yeah, I'd like to see those programs come back. When you see what they did up there with the Saunderson Heights neighborhood program ... I'm all for it. Anytime somebody with low income is trying to make things better and if we can help, then why not.”
