“In the early part of the year, we're trying to develop a pitching staff. There was really never even a second thought (leaving him in). It was in the plans that he would throw three innings and move on from there. He threw so few pitches, we decided to give him one more. We've got to get some innings to some other kids because we really think we're going to need everybody.”
“We were able to string a few hits together and we were able to keep pressure on them. It was good to get started in that first inning and keep hitting.”
“A lot of people will forget that because it happened in the first inning, but that was a big strikeout and got us out of what could have been a big inning for American Fork.”
