“We got beat by a better football team tonight. Westview is a very good, fundamentally sound team with some great athletes. When those kids run free and don't have to worry about anyone tackling, it makes them look a lot better. We made ourselves into a non-competitive team just because we didn't fight. That has never happened since I have been here. We have to correct it to get back to what we were last year. Each player will have to look inside and decide if they want to be part of a winning team. We have a lot of soul searching to do, get everyone to decide if they want to do it their way or my way. Once they figure that out, I think we will get back to what we should be.”
“The Donald Byrd portion will be performed here in 2006. The entire piece will be premiered in Dayton in February 2007 and then go on tour. As part of the piece, we want to use selected works by Lawrence as projected images.”
