“The children take the animals in a ring and they have a judge. There will be maybe four or five classes for the hogs, and the judge will pick the top two and then declare an overall grand champion.”
“It is a chance for farm, non-farm and city kids to mingle. It is just a good event for kids. The kids come back and remember the livestock show. It was significant in their growing up process. That indicates to me that they learned something from it.”
