“Starting with the theme at halftime, 'Rise Up' will focus on the Katrina occurrences. It begins with a slow funeral march to bring the bands onto the field to recognize the loss, followed by a jazz version of 'When the Saints Go Marching In,' signifying rebirth from the tragedy. We close with 'Georgia on my Mind.' There may be a guest artist to perform with the bands.”
