“I don't think there's any question that coach Weis is going to turn things around. It's just a gut feeling I've had for the last three or four months. I think he'll be able to do a lot with the program with the new facilities, this recruiting class and the next one. I don't think there's any reason why the program can't be headed into a direction of greatness. I have extremely high expectations.”
“I guess that makes us pioneers in a way. But you know people have been doing this at other schools for 10 years now. I just think of it as I'm bringing something new to Notre Dame. Hopefully, George, Chris and I can be a successful story with early enrollment, and we can keep it going for others.”
