“This is similar to the ones made in 1865, but the real ones were about six-foot longer, a foot higher and a foot wider. I tried to fix this up as original as they made it back then. I could take this on the trail. It's pretty solid.”
“There would be 2,500 to 3,000 head of cattle and they'd go all day, eight to 10 miles a day. There'd be about eight or nine cowboys on the trail and a lot of them didn't make the whole trip. The trip was so long, some got lonesome and others got sick from malnourishment.”
