“We played well for six out of the seven innings. We were hitting the ball and (Oswego) made some really good catches. Our hitting needs to improve as well as our defense. We had six errors which led to seven runs. But, we did OK for our first game.”
“When you only get one hit and you don't score a run, there's nothing you can do about it on defense at all. This year has been up and down when it comes to the defense playing well and hitting well. We just have to make it all fall together. We had 35 hits last Saturday, so we need to get back to that. They know they can do it, and I know they can do it. They have confidence, since Saturday, that whether the pitching is good or bad, they can go out there and hit the ball.”
